Geocart SRL started up as a company and had been approved as an officially authorized person in March 2004, this being a necessity to the more intense requirements of the customers regarding the specialized tasks.
     It must be underlined that Georcart SRL was the first company that has been authorized by National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration (ANCPI) in Galati County which domains of activity are exclusively the specialized tasks in topography area, cadastre, geodesy and GIS. It has to be mentioned also the fact that at that time there also existed authorized companies in this area of interest but these were not specialized on a certain domain having mixed domain of activities (amongst the previously mentioned).
     Since its early stages, Geocart SRL had in its team a professional, dynamic and young staff in order to successfully accomplish specialized tasks. Certainly, this start wasn’t at all an easy one but due the customer’s perseverance that required our services this start became history. We take advantage of this occasion and we thank them once again for their support and their confidence in our capabilities.
     The Geodesists Order from Romania (OGR) set up on January 2007 as an organization that follows the 16/2007 enactment. This enactment also regulates the new authorizing terms, which are no longer the attributions of the National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration. This time, only the geodesist specialist will obtain the authorization that will choose later on the way he or she carries on the activity: other as an individual bureau or within a holding company.
     In February 2008 Gergescu Iulian received the authorization as specialist in geodesy with the right to sign within the Geocart SRL company, thus company continued activity without any disturbances, all this changes taking place in the terms specified by law.
     Starting from January 24, 2009 ANCPI/OCPI will emit again licenses according with Decision No. 1150 from November 06, 2008, Decision emitted by Constitutional Court, that declare Law No. 16/2007 (regarding the organization and the exercitation of the geodesist profession) unconstitutional. In that case old ANCPI/OCPI licenses are valid.
     Starting from June 06, 2009 Geocart SRL received the new authorization as specialist in geodesy from ANCPI. Behind evaluation, ANCPI confering to Geocart SRL maximum level of authorization, in other words, Class I.
     Currently, Geocart SRL carries on its activity in Galati, therefore having the possibility to deal with all the requests in the county but not only. The company have employees that are well-prepared in this domain.
     In order to ensure a constant flux of requests, the technical department has teams of data operators that deal with the office tasks, teams focused on personnel and subsidy, prepared for field work specialized on measurements performed with the total station and teams specialized on GPS measurements and geodetic networks.
     The technical department are lead by professionals.
